New projects of Thosamling
New
land for the Tibetan Language school and Hostel
We
need new land to move the Tibetan Language school outside
the boundary of the Nunnery as we can tell that the energy
of Tibetan Language students and nuns and laywomen doing
retreat and studies in Thosamling is completely different.
The school will also provide a hostel for the students so
that they can stay together in a quiet area and don't have
to find space all around the village.
Thosamling Institute is situated between rice paddies
in a very quiet area in Sidhpur a small village close
to Dharamsala. We have a temple with Library and a room
for our Residence Geshe, 2 nuns residence blocks with
32 rooms and a general building with kitchen, office,
dining hall and classrooms, and small dormitory.
Since 5 years Thosamling organize Tibetan
Language courses for 1 to 2 years for Dharma students
who want to study Tibetan language. As these courses are
ment to be for nuns, we decided also to open up for laypeople.
The courses are running well. Some students start to develop
translator skills and are still practising to be prepared
to start to translate for their teachers in their countries.
Sponsoring
We where able to raise the money to buy the land for
the school and hostel. Were are about to buy the land
somewhere in July 2008. After that we will need 35.000
Euro to build the school and 50.000 Euro to build the
hostel.

A 3-year retreat will cost €
9,000 valid during your whole life.
A 2-year retreat will cost €
6,000 valid during your whole life.
A 1-year retreat will cost €
3,000 valid during your whole life.
A 6-month retreat will cost € 1,500 valid
for 10 years.
A 3-month retreat will cost € 750
valid for 5 years.
A 1-month retreat will cost € 300
valid for 5 years.
